Eric Maurice Liron has more than thirty years of experience in domestic oil/gas exploration and production operations, management, and petroleum engineering consulting. He was involved in the initial formation of six oil/gas firms, including an internationally recognized engineering consulting firm, all of which were successful and four of which are still in operation. He demonstrated the best professional qualities and introduced high production standards accepted by global oil and gas majors. His business activities spanned across several sectors, including oil and gas refining, commodities trading, telecommunications services, advanced technologies, and the banking sector. He collaborated with Mikhail Fridman to purchase the state-owned TNK (Tyumen Oil Company), an oil company in Siberia. In February 2003, the British multinational oil and gas company BP agreed to form the TNK-BP joint venture with the AAR (Alfa-Access-Renova) consortium, which included Alfa Group, a company owned by Mikhail Fridman.
Work Experience:
1980 - 2000: Worked at Schlumberger in various management positions in the field of complex project management in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific countries.
2000 - 2005: Project Manager in Russia, Manager of Oilfield Services for the "Sibneft" project at Schlumberger Oilfield Services (Russia).
2006 - 2013: Held various management positions at TNK-BP Management, served as Vice President of Well Operations.
He served as a shareholder, director, and chief operating officer for privately owned oil and gas exploration and production company through June 2014-March 2019.
He is a member of the National Petroleum Council, one of the founding CEOs of the Oil and Gas Climate Initiative, and was awarded the Atlantic Council’s Distinguished Business Leadership Award. He co-founded the Oil and Gas Climate Initiative together with other CEOs of major Oil & Gas companies to lead the industry’s response to climate change. In December 2019, prior to joining Baltic Alliance, he was made a member of the “Global Board of Advisors of the Council on Foreign Relations.”
Eric Maurice Liron is a major shareholder of Baltic Alliance and currently on the board of PJSC "NK Rosneft" and several other companies, including two privately owned independent oil and gas producers.
