Saeed Abdullah Al-Rumaih earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toledo. He also holds a MSc and a PhD from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.
He has completed a number of executive leadership programs, including the Senior Executive Program at the London Business School. Saeed is also a member of numerous national and regional economic and charitable committees and a member of the Board of Directors for Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) and Director on the Board of Governors of the GCC Board Directors Institute.
Throughout his career, Saeed has played a significant role in various regional projects in the Middle East, gaining a deep understanding of the specific dynamics and intricacies of the Middle Eastern energy markets.
He collaborated with key stakeholders, including government entities, national oil companies, and other industry participants, to develop and execute strategies that promote growth and enhance energy infrastructure in the region. Saeed was a member of the negotiating team with international oil and gas companies towards the partial privatization of the natural gas industry in Saudi Arabia. He was also one of the key members of the committee responsible for the corporatization and played a leading role in the privatization of Saudi Telecom Company. Additionally, he assisted in preparing privatization studies on the Saudi Postal Services.
Leveraging his knowledge of the Middle Eastern energy landscape, Saeed has contributed to the successful execution of projects that have had a significant impact on the regional energy sector. He has fostered strong relationships with industry players in the Middle East, establishing a vast network of contacts that facilitates efficient communication and collaboration. These connections have proven invaluable in navigating the unique challenges and opportunities that arise in the region's energy markets, making a lasting impact on the development and growth of the energy sector in the region.
